G-Info MOBILE
G-Info MOBILE – the component for mobile data acquisition – makes data collection of building and furniture information on location possible – using RFID technology if required.
The mobile G-Info solution provides the user the opportunity to export information from the central data pool and edit it on location with mobile devices. Therefore G-Info MOBILE is suited perfectly to be used in the area of maintenance and inspection. During the actual recording on location in addition to the collection of the object condition required tasks are triggered. Also in the area of green spaces the mobile solution of G-Info is successfully used e. g. to document tree population.
G-Info MOBILE overview
- Mobile data acquisition
- No crossover of data entrys
- RFID application
For the G-Info MOBILE solution two software components are available: G-Info MOBILE ORGANIZER and G-Info MOBILE CLIENT.
MOBILE ORGANIZER
With G-Info MOBILE ORGANIZER existing projects are prepared for the mobile use. The devices to use, like notebooks or tablet PCs, are connected to the software and verified by an assigned identification number, to assure a definite data transfer and prevent misuse. To avoid a data crossover, the exported data are locked in the central system while using the mobile data manipulation. The mobile devices work with Microsoft Access and connection via MDAC, so no more database licenses are required.
MOBILE CLIENT
The G-Info MOBILE CLIENT is meant to be used directly on the mobile devices. It imports the exported subjects and forms in the device. After the import it can be worked mobile with the data, whereas all data from the project are provided with read only rights.
After completing the data acquisition on location all information are imported via the G-Info MOBILE ORGANIZER back into the central system.
RFID Techonology
In addition G-Info MOBILE can use the integrated RFID technology (radio frequency identification) in terms of object identification. This provides multiple fields of application, e.g. inventory. The RFID tags provide not only reading but writing access as well. The writeable RFID tags enhance the possibilities with inventory operations, because objects and their current location can be tracked due to their unique classification.
